2009 MCPA Achievement Awards
On Sunday, April 5th, MCPA Ballet Academy students presented their Achievement Awards combinations for family, friends, and faculty members. This wonderful performance is an opportunity for the teachers to recognize students for their hard work and dedication to the art form, and for parents and friends to see how far the students have progressed as individuals.
At MCPA, students are taught to be "smart dancers". Each level takes a written exam, which includes proper spelling of terminology and definitions, and for older students body positions, stage directions, ballet history, and character/plot descriptions from famous ballets.
