MCPA Ensemble Alumni

Since it's inception in 2005, the MCPA Ensemble has had 7 graduates. MCPA has awarded a total of $5500 in cash scholarships since 2005, and these 7 graduates earned over $750,000 in college scholarships and grants upon graduation!

 

Lauren Carnesi (2008) is attending Shenandoah University as a dance major, where she received over $86,000 in dance and academic scholarships. She was accepted at several other colleges including VCU, Towson and George Mason, & received a $1000 cash scholarship from MCPA. She plans to pursue a career as a choreographer.

 

Maria Kroat (2008) received a scholarship to the Giordano professional training program in Chicago, and will be auditioning with companies to pursue a professional career in dance. Maria was accepted in many dance programs including NYU, SUNY Purchase, NC School for the Arts, Univ of MD, UNC-Greensboro, and Towson, receiving dance/academic scholarships totaling over $161,000. Maria also received a $3000/yr Maryland Distinguished Scholar Award, and a $1000 cash scholarship from MCPA.

 

Jackie Ashburn (2006) attended CCBC as a freshman dance major, while working at MCPA as a rehearsal assistant and substitute teacher. She transferred to George Mason University as a sophomore where she is pursuing a dance major. Jackie received a $1000.00 cash scholarship from MCPA.

 


Jessica Hammel (2006) attended Point Park University, as a dance major. Jessica transferred to Shenandoah Univesity as a dance major in her junior year. Jessica received over $100,000 in dance and academic scholarships from colleges, and a $1000.00 cash scholarship from MCPA.

 

Katie Erdman (2005) is attending Salisbury University with a minor in dance. She received a $250.00 cash scholarship from MCPA to help continue her education in dance.

 

Alexa Conway (2005) attended Mahattanville College as a Dance Therapy Major, on a $10,000 per year dance scholarship and then transferred to Towson University to pursue a dance education major. Alexa recently joined the faculty at MCPA.  She received a $500.00 cash scholarship from MCPA to continue her dance education.

 

Nick Wagner (2005) is attending the University of Illinois on a full scholarhip for dance and will graduate this spring. Nick plans to move to New York and audition with professional companies.  He received a $750.00 cash scholarship from MCPA to continue his dance education.
